Redemption song

The title is inspired by Bob Marley’s Redemption Song

Having come to Italy from the war in Libya, realising the forms of slavery often experienced by his immigrant brothers in Europe, Cissoko decided to film them and return to Africa, to screen them in schools and villages, to contribute to the awakening of his people. If on the one hand there is the urgency “to help stop the human haemorrhage bleeding Africa dry”, on the other hand, his is meant to be an invitation to put an end to Africa’s internal conflicts and to free its land, working all together to make it grow, without handing it over to ever new colonisers or abandoning it for the chimera of the West.
