Glassboy

Glassboy is a universal story inspired by the book of the same name, a publishing success in 2011 and winner of the 9-12 Years Anderson Award as best children’s book. It is a film for everyone, able to speak to everyone, young and old, without age limits.

In a remote provincial town, 11-year-old Pino, a fan of super-heroes and comic books, is a child like many others, but unlike the others, he does not have a normal life: he lives a recluse at home, as if inside an aquarium, due to a mysterious illness. Everything suddenly changes when he finally comes into contact with the group of neighbourhood kids he dreams of being a part of: the Snerds! Like one of his favourite heroes, Pino will have to face his own limitations, an overly caring mum and dad and the despotic grandmother who rules the house, if he really wants to win the right to a real life.
